In Japan, please consider that if you request a trademark comprehensive Study in katakana alphabet, it has a cost of USD 385 for the first class, and USD 310 per each additional.

The Registration Fee for Japan is valid only for description of 7 or fewer items per Class, if more items are needed, a proof of intention to use will have to be submitted.

There are two ways to submit a proof of intention to use, prior to the registration: "Intent to Use"", if currently you are not using your trademark, with a cost of USD 191 for one similarity group; or "Actual Use"" for operative Trademarks, in which case a Fee starting from USD 795 will apply.

Timeframe for registration are estimated and may considerably vary if objections and/or oppositions are presented, or other events occur during the trademark registration process.

Word Mark or Logo

Word Mark is composed exclusively of words, letters or numbers and their combinations, without any graphical characters or specific colors.

Logo (or figurative mark) is composed exclusively of graphical symbols, drawings or logos.

Word Mark + Logo

Word Mark + Logo is formed by the combination of both verbal (word mark) and figurative (logo) elements, or by verbal elements represented in a stylized form.
